Geoff Black

Deputy Manager

Geoff has worked at Fairways since 1997 where he took on the role of Chef at Dunluce Residential Home. His work ethic and ability to build strong relationships with the people who we support, their families and the staff team was clearly evident from a very early stage. Geoff actively involved service users in activities within the kitchen and he played a key role in the service redevelopment. At the Cloonavin Green Project, with his Culinary Arts Degree, he took on the role of Living Skills Development Manager and was responsible for promoting the skills of service users in all areas of daily life. Further progression saw him become Deputy Manager.

For many, he’s the ‘go to’ person when there’s a query or when something needs done and his name will be the first on most service users lips when they need help or support.

Geoff loves city breaks and holidays to the sun and he makes sure that his leave is never wasted. As a chef by profession, his love for food and wine has never left him. He delights in spending time in the kitchen and entertaining friends.
