Tony Dunlop
Managing Director
Tony has worked at Fairways since 1993, starting his working life as a care assistant at Duncreggan Residential Home. He progressed through various roles, gaining academic qualifications along the way. With a BA in Social Work, he returned from Aberdeen in 2000 joining his late Mother in overseeing the management of the Fairways services. Tony head’s up the organisation and will be at each of the Fairways services most days. He gets involved on the ground and is personally part of the day to day operations of each service. He lives and breathes Fairways. It has become his family and he loves and treats it as such.
In 2006, Tony led the redevelopment of the organisation’s service delivery in the form of the supported living model at the Cloonavin Green Project and later, the Woodford Park Project in 2008. The domiciliary model was adopted and improved for the Outreach Service in 2010. These services created opportunities for people moving from long stay hospitals and for children transitioning to adult services.
Tony is a professional sailor and in his free time loves nothing more than getting out on the water and exploring the various destinations around our coasts. Whilst he’s a keen traveler and enjoys seeing the world and the different cultures within it, he loves our North Coast most of all.
